CT, and most other states, already have laws on the books regarding driving while using a cell phone. This is proper…these laws should be and are created and enforced at a state level.

This has not stopped a federal agency from successfully pursuing regulations in the past, and they are now recommending additional legislation at the federal level; positioning themselves to further encroach on legislation that should be restricted to the state level.   This particular effort is being “rationalized” by utilizing a horrific accident to allow circumvention of the law.
